Philodendron Variegated Silver Sword is a rare and eye-catching twist on the classic Silver Sword, featuring elongated, blade-shaped leaves splashed with creamy white and pale mint variegation. The signature metallic silver-blue base gives each leaf a cool, modern look, while the unpredictable variegation ensures every plant is truly one of a kind.
As a climbing philodendron, Philodendron Variegated Silver Sword produces increasingly large and dramatic foliage when given support. The combination of sharp, architectural leaf shape and high-contrast variegation makes this plant a standout in any collector’s display—equal parts refined and bold.
This variety thrives in bright, indirect light, which helps maintain both strong growth and vibrant variegation. With proper care, it quickly becomes a statement plant that adds height, texture, and serious visual impact.

Watch our step-by-step video instructions on our How To Acclimate Your Tissue Culture blog!
- Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to the temperature in their new environment
- Step 2- Open the package & wash the agar jelly off the plant as thoroughly as possible. We strongly recommend using running water. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process. This is one of the most important steps of the process.
- Step 3- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite. We utilize acclimation plugs although there are many great mediums available.
- Step 4- Place them into a clear sealed package (container or plastic bag). Within 24-hours your container will have water droplets forming, which will confirm the container is at 100% humidity.
- Step 5-Place under a grow lights for between 8 & 14 hours a day
- Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days. The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated.
Our acclimation kits will contain all of the tools necessary for success. Just add water & grow lights to the simple acclimation process to produce healthy acclimated plants!
