How Orange Lake Nursery Ships Their Plants

Exploring a new online plant nursery can be a very nerve-wracking experience for customers! We’ve listened to the tales of damaged plants; we’ve studied our predecessors and concluded; the best way to ship is knowing each plant's needs & dedicating the time to pack them accordingly. At Orange Lake Nursery, we take immense pride in meticulously packing each order with care. After all, these aren't just plants — they're the newest additions to your jungle!

Learn How The Plants Go From Our Jungle To Yours!

Steps:

  1. First Things First: Each morning our team of dedicated Plant Lovers stroll our shade house inspecting each tray of plants. We are checking for any signs of pests, any special new growth, or any thirsty plants. Plus it is a wonderful way to start the day!
  1. Careful Selection: We are dedicated to you loving your new plants as much as we do! Each plant is hand chosen for each order. Our rule of thumb? The prettiest plants ship first. We carefully inspect each leaf, each stem, & culture to ensure it meets our high standards.
  1. Executive Treatment: Each plant order gets its own tray & personal ride to our packing area. Our skilled packers then take over, conducting their own thorough inspection of each plant & begin prepping your plants for their journey home.
  1. Securing Your Plants: Just like each plant has its own water & light preferences, they also have their own shipping preference! Our rooted plugs are placed in water-tight plastic bags, taped to ensure the soil stays in place, carefully wrapped with thick Kraft paper, & neatly placed inside the box. While our larger plants are tightly wrapped with plastic over the pot, taped placed snuggly around the bottom, carefully wrapped with thick Kraft paper, & neatly placed inside the box. Our larger plants are also given a bamboo stick support system. Each box is filled with Kraft paper to prevent movement & given an Orange Lake Nursery clear pot as a thank you for your order.
  1. Personalized Attention: You may notice words of encouragement or a handwritten friendly hello on your packing slip. Each one of our skilled packers initials the slip so you know there was someone who put love & care into your order.
  1. Plant Mail Is On Its Way!: Once your plants are safely packed, it is off to the Post Office the same day. We give them one final farewell & your plants are officially on their way to their new jungle.
