FAQ's

I am concerned because my plantlets arrived with black gel.

We use Activated Charcoal in many of our tissue cultured plantlets. This helps prevent bacteria growth and works as promotes health growth in the tissue cells. It is nothing to be concerned about and will rinse right off. If you have any concerns, please send us a photo with your order number to orangelakenursery@gmail.com

My plantlets arrived with a few brown leaves. What do I do?

It is perfectly normal for plantlets to have a few leaves and roots that need to be trimmed prior to potting. Please remember these are very young plantlets. Prior to potting the plantlet, trim anything that is mushy. These are much more resilient then many think. If you acclimate properly, they will still make wonderful plants.

When will my order ship?

Our normal processing times are 3 to 5 business days. Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be processed prior to shipping. We do ship 6 days a week. Once you receive a tracking number via the email you provided, tracking should update within 24-48 hours. Expedited shipping methods do not change the handling time of your order but do decrease the time your plants will spend in the mail once shipped. Please remember we are a small business & are working as fast as possible to get these little guys to you as safe as possible!

I received my order, what next?

Congrats on your new additions! We highly recommend taking photos of everything while you are taking them out of the box. That will greatly help us assist you, should these be any issues. If they are plantlets, please let them rest for 24 to 48 hours before beginning to acclimate. If they are plants, give them a nice drink of water & into the sunlight (NOT direct!) to warm up. Please do not repot your new plants (unless they are plugs) for at least 2 weeks. This allows your new plants to adjust to the environment before having the adjust once more.

Do I need to add Cold Weather Protection to my Order?

If the weather in your area is below 40 degrees at any point during the week after you have made a purchase, you MUST purchase a heat pack and/or insulation. Any item that is damaged due to cold damage & cold weather protection was not purchased, will not be issued a refund or replacement. Please be advise we reserve the right to cancel any order in which cold weather protection was not purchased but weather suggests is needed.
