Philodendron Elegans Tissue Culture

This culture pack includes 1 Philodendron Elegans Tissue Culture. It comes in agar gel & ready to acclimate in their new jungle. 

Philodendron elegans is a rare and elegant climbing aroid admired for its deeply dissected, lace-like foliage and refined tropical appearance. Its elongated leaves are finely divided into narrow, finger-like segments that create a soft, feathery texture—giving the plant a delicate yet dramatic silhouette unlike most traditional Philodendrons. The rich green coloration enhances its intricate form, making each leaf look almost sculpted.

As a mature climber, the Philodendron elegans develops increasingly complex foliage with more pronounced leaf divisions, rewarding growers with an ever-evolving display of texture and movement. When given support, it will climb gracefully, producing larger and more ornate leaves as it grows, making it a true collector’s specimen.

• Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to the temperature in their new environment
• Step 2- Open the package & wash the agar jelly off the plant as thoroughly as possible. We strongly recommend using running water. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process. This is one of the most important steps of the process.
• Step 3- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite. We utilize acclimation plugs although there are many great mediums available.
• Step 4- Place them into a clear sealed package (container or plastic bag). Within 24-hours your container will have water droplets forming, which will confirm the container is at 100% humidity.
• Step 5-Place under a grow lights for between 8 & 14 hours a day
• Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days.  The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated. 

Our acclimation kits will contain all of the tools necessary for success. Just add water & grow lights to the simple acclimation process to produce healthy acclimated plants!
