This culture pack includes 1 Monstera Deliciosa Mint tissue culture. It comes in agar gel and is ready to adapt to its new jungle.
Monstera Deliciosa Mint variegated is a subspecies of the Monstera Deliciosa Variegata. As such, it has similarly shaped leaves with the exception of the unique white variegations.
The Monstera Deliciosa ‘Mint’ is a highly sought-after and rare variety of the iconic Monstera Deliciosa. Known for its beautiful leaves, this plant is a true treasure for collectors.
The unique, marbled variegation distinguishes the ‘Mint’ variety. Each leaf shows a beautiful mix of creamy mint-green and dark emerald colors. The patterns look like artistic brushstrokes.
The ‘Mint’ Monstera is different from the traditional one. Its variegation is subtle but captivating. You can see delicate swirls or speckles on the leaves. These patterns change in intensity from leaf to leaf.
Mature leaves develop the signature fenestrations (natural splits and holes) that Monstera enthusiasts adore. These openings not only make the plant look better but also help it adapt to its rainforest home. They let light and air pass through the leaves.
As your plant adapts, you may notice new growth emerging. Be patient, as it can take some time for the plantlet to acclimate to its new environment. With proper care, your Monstera will thrive and bring a touch of tropical beauty to your space. Enjoy watching it grow!
These striking white patterns create a stunning contrast against the deep green foliage, making the Mint variegated variety particularly sought after by plant enthusiasts. To help your Monstera Deliciosa Mint thrive, place it in a spot with bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch its delicate leaves, so it's best to avoid those harsh rays.
Water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to ensure proper drainage. A well-draining potting mix will help maintain the right moisture levels. Additionally, consider misting the leaves occasionally to increase humidity, as Monsteras love a humid environment.
Fertilizing your plant during the growing season, typically spring and summer, will also encourage healthy growth. Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every four to six weeks to provide the necessary nutrients. As your Monstera grows, you may need to stake it for support, as these plants can become quite large and may need help to stay upright.
With a little love and attention, your Monstera Deliciosa Mint variegated will flourish, becoming a beautiful focal point in your home. Enjoy the journey of nurturing this unique plant and watch as it transforms your space into a lush, tropical paradise!
Watch our step-by-step video instructions on our How To Acclimate Your Tissue Culture blog!
Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to their new temperatures
Step 2- Open the package & wash out the jelly as thoroughly as possible. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process
Step 3- Soak them in a rooting hormone if available. This step is not necessary for success
Step 4- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite (available for purchase in our Add On collection)
Step 5- Place them into a closed package (container or plastic bag) while allowing light to pass through. Place under a grow light
Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days. The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated.
