https://orangelakenursery.com/blogs/orange-lake-nursery-blog/steps-to-acclimate-your-tissue-culture

Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to their new temperatures

Step 2- Open the package & wash out the jelly as thoroughly as possible. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process

Step 3- Soak them in a rooting hormone if available. This step is not necessary for success

Step 4- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite (available for purchase in our Add On collection)

Step 5- Place them into a closed package (container or plastic bag) while allowing light to pass through. Place under a grow light

Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days.  The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated.

The first set of roots on a Musa are very delicate. It is perfectly normal to have a few roots break off during shipping. This will not effect their ability to grow.

Died super fast

I did everything according to the instructions and they still died. The roots came in black already and didn’t survive longer than two days outside of the packaging

Hi Joseph! I am so sorry to hear that you struggled with the Musa. They really can be some of the harder cultures to learn to acclimate with. If you would have reached out, we would have been glad to assist you! We acclimate hundreds of the Musa so we have got all of the tricks. I hope you don't give up! Once you learn the steps to acclimation, it can be so rewarding. If you ever have issues, feel free to reach out to us. We can't help if we don't know you are having issues :-)

Arrived with leaf rust

Plant is not doing well at all. All leaves but one has rusted

Hello Frankie! It looks like you purchased a tissue culture plantlet. They are in 100% sterile enviorments in a growing media. It is absolutely impossible that a sterile plant had rust.
