- Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to the temperature in their new environment
- Step 2- Open the package & wash the agar jelly off the plant as thoroughly as possible. We strongly recommend using running water. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process. This is one of the most important steps of the process.
- Step 3- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite. We utilize acclimation plugs although there are many great mediums available.
- Step 4- Place them into a clear sealed package (container or plastic bag). Within 24-hours your container will have water droplets forming, which will confirm the container is at 100% humidity.
- Step 5-Place under a grow lights for between 8 & 14 hours a day
- Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days. The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated.
Our acclimation kits will contain all of the tools necessary for success. Just add water & grow lights to the simple acclimation process to produce healthy acclimated plants!

How to Care for Anthurium Warocqueanum Dark
Taking care of this plant is easy if you follow these simple steps:
-
Light: Place the plant in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can damage the leaves.
-
Temperature: Keep it in a warm room, ideally between 65–85°F. Avoid placing it near cold drafts or air conditioning.
-
Humidity: This plant loves moisture in the air. Mist it often or use a humidifier to keep the humidity high. You can also place it near other plants to help keep the air moist.
-
Watering: Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. The soil should be moist but not soaking wet. Make sure the pot has holes for drainage so water doesn’t sit at the bottom.
-
Soil: Use a loose, airy soil mix with things like orchid bark, moss, and perlite. This allows the roots to breathe and prevents them from rotting. We have both in our inventory!
-
Fertilizer: Feed the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with Orange Lake Nursery Fertilizer. This will help it stay healthy and grow well.
At Orange Lake Nursery, we take immense pride in meticulously packing each order with care. After all, these aren't just plants — they're the newest additions to your jungle!
