Anthurium Wendlingeri Tissue Culture

This culture pack includes 1 Anthurium Wendlingeri tissue culture. It comes in agar gel and is ready to acclimate to its new jungle.

Anthurium wendlingeri is a truly extraordinary species prized for its long, cascading foliage and one of the most unique inflorescences in the Anthurium world. Its narrow, strap-like leaves gracefully arch and drape as they mature, creating a dramatic tropical display that stands apart from traditional velvet-leaf Anthuriums.

What makes this species especially sought after is its remarkable corkscrew-shaped spadix, which twists elegantly as it develops and adds an unmistakable botanical charm. Native to the humid rainforests of Central America, Anthurium wendlingeri thrives in warm, humid environments and makes a stunning specimen for hanging displays, greenhouse collections, or tropical plant showcases.

• Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to the temperature in their new environment
• Step 2- Open the package & wash the agar jelly off the plant as thoroughly as possible. We strongly recommend using running water. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process. This is one of the most important steps of the process.
• Step 3- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite. We utilize acclimation plugs although there are many great mediums available.
• Step 4- Place them into a clear sealed package (container or plastic bag). Within 24-hours your container will have water droplets forming, which will confirm the container is at 100% humidity.
• Step 5-Place under a grow lights for between 8 & 14 hours a day
• Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days.  The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated. 

Our acclimation kits will contain all of the tools necessary for success. Just add water & grow lights to the simple acclimation process to produce healthy acclimated plants!
