The Anthurium Napo is a hidden gem from the depths of the Ecuadorian rainforest — a sleek, velvety beauty prized for its dark green, heart-shaped leaves with bold, contrasting veins. Its refined texture and elegant silhouette give it an effortlessly tropical look that feels both rare and refined.
Each new leaf unfurls with a soft, satin sheen that deepens in color as it matures, creating a layered canopy of lush foliage. This species thrives in bright, indirect light and high humidity, rewarding the attentive grower with strong, symmetrical growth and that signature Anthurium velvet glow.
Native to Colombia’s tropical rainforests, this Anthurium thrives in bright, filtered light with high humidity and excellent airflow. As it matures, the leaf corrugation becomes more pronounced, giving it the iconic “accordion” texture that collectors dream about.

Watch our step-by-step video instructions on our How To Acclimate Your Tissue Culture blog!
- Step 1- Do not do anything to the culture for 1-2 days to allow them to adjust to the temperature in their new environment
- Step 2- Open the package & wash the agar jelly off the plant as thoroughly as possible. We strongly recommend using running water. A small paint brush can be gently used to assist with the cleaning process. This is one of the most important steps of the process.
- Step 3- Plant your cultures in the medium of your choice. We recommend a chunky blend of coco husk & perlite. We utilize acclimation plugs although there are many great mediums available.
- Step 4- Place them into a clear sealed package (container or plastic bag). Within 24-hours your container will have water droplets forming, which will confirm the container is at 100% humidity.
- Step 5-Place under a grow lights for between 8 & 14 hours a day
- Step 6- Leave plants covered for the first 7 days. The following 7 to 10 days slowly expose plants to ambient air. Each day exposing the plants to slightly more air until fully acclimated.
Our acclimation kits will contain all of the tools necessary for success. Just add water & grow lights to the simple acclimation process to produce healthy acclimated plants!
