Step aside for the stunning Philodendron Mamei! The Mamei will showcase silvery variegated hues throughout the heart shaped leaves. Discovered and native to Ecuador, the Philodendron Mamei is often referred to by the nickname “Silver Cloud”. Featuring this plant will make any jungle stand out among the crowd! Unlike the other tree-loving Philodendron, the Mamei prefers to crawl across the ground in its natural habitat instead of climbing. Make sure to have plenty of future planter space for the vine to mature. A single grown Mamei leaf can reach a width of over a foot in length.
Water Requirements: Water when the top inch of soil dries out. Mamei love a slightly moist soil, but will be susceptible to root rot. Make sure the Philodendron is potted in a well-draining substrate and fertilize bi-weekly for perfected growth. Humidity is key in letting the giant leaves unfurl without damage. We recommend humidity above 60% as our aroids are kept in a warm, humid environment.
Light Requirements: Bright, Indirect sunlight. The brighter the light, the more silver color will bring out in variegation.
