Swiss Cheese (Monstera Adansonii)

Cheesing for the Monstera Adansonii because of the “Swiss Cheese” resembling patterns.🧀 There’s truly not much needed to be said as the plant makes a statement for itself. The Adansonii prefers a well-draining soil with plenty of space to grow and climb. In the wild, this plant develops under the canopy of tropical rainforests. This allows for the plant to mature by clinging to the sides of trees, so adding a moss pole or some type of stabilization is crucial for optimal health. Aerial roots will cascade down the stalk of the plant under ambient humidity. These aerial roots will carry nutrients all the way to the top node and strengthen the mid leaves to make for a perfectly stable vine. As the Adansonii matures, the fenestration in the leaves will separate and widen dramatically from the original heart-shape.

Water Requirements: Monsteras thrive in a slightly moist soil, but prefers to dry out a bit before your next watering. Making sure the aerial roots have ample humidity will be sufficient for in-between your regular waterings. Frequent fertilization can trigger the plant to produce a deliciously edible fruit if ripened properly.
